My Big Redneck Wedding

anybody ever watch that show hosted by Tom Arnold? When me & DH were engaged, I used to make him watch all those wedding shows with me and this is the only one that really stuck with us. It's just too funny what these people do. Like one couple had a derby wedding where they crashed their cars into one another and then got married right there on the mud. (gross). Other people make canopies out of beer cans, do bull riding, and other crazy hillbilly things. But it's the wedding of their dreams, exactly what they wanted. So happily ever after for them

Anyway - DH's friend here in Colorado is such a country boy. He's got the thick western accent and reminds me sooo much of Larry the Cable Guy. lol. He's supposedly getting married (I only say 'supposedly' because they've been together a while with a couple kids already- and have TALKED about getting married forever though it just never happened). Anyway - so this weekend he was hanging out with us and said that he wants a real Redneck Wedding. And that he might even try to get on that show. Oh boy.

Me & DH thought it was so funny and after he left we started talking about if he DID get on it. We would HAVE TO try to be seen on the camera (dh will probably be in the BP anyway). How funny would it be to really play it up. I soooo wanna get a Little House on the Prairie kind of dress with thick muddy boots and my hair in braids. I would LOVE my friends in NY to watch and be like 'What has Colorado done to our city girl???' lol. Either that, or I show up in an elegant NY Wedding type of gown while everybody else is in jeans.

But like i said before - they may never get married, and might not be redneck enough for the show. But that would be hysterical even if it wasn't on tv. haha. I'd be so awkward at a wedding like that

Just don't wear camouflage - it's been done to death on that show.
Watch some reruns of the old Hee Haw show to get some really good redneck outfit ideas.
