*~*~* My First NWQOTD! 7.11.11 *~*~*

First off I want to say thank you to Emily for choosing me as NWOTW!! I'm so excited!

Now for my first question....

What was your most distinct memory from your wedding day? The picture that stays frozen in your mind the most?


I have a few like seeing DH for the first time and our first dance; however, one memory sticks out the most to me as our sweetest moment of the day (even though it was simple). Sometimes the simplest things are the best.

DH and I were at our sweetheart table and everyone started hitting their forks against their glasses for us to kiss so we kissed. About 15 seconds after our kiss DH suddenly picked up his own fork and hit his glass himself so that we could kiss again. You could hear all of the woman saying aww!! it was just a really sweet and simple moment that I will remember forever.

Two things stick out in my mind from my wedding day...

1) The fact that when I was walking down the aisle, I could barely see DH because there were so many people staring at me. I kept looking but it was all so blurry until I just about got right up to him. He looked amazing once it all came into focus and I stopped shaking so much lol

2) The moment when I realized we weren't doing the anniversary dance - instead my dad and FIL were performing a song for us!! My dad plays guitar and FIL sings and they teamed up to sing the George Straits song 'Life's not the breaths you take...' So unforgettable and special

For me - there are three...

When my nephew (RB) saw me in the bridal suite, he was so cute in his tux.. and he gave me a big hug and said 'So THIS is what a bride looks like. I've been wondering!'

Then, when DH first saw me. His face I will never forget... He started crying and said 'Oh My God, You are so beautiful. I am so lucky'.

Then for the Mother/Son dance - DH's mom has passed so he danced with his sister... we surprised her by having her son (an amazing singer) sing their song. She was shocked, crying and totally speachless.

1 - My name is Anney and my darling niece has called me anything from punani ( ) to nina. She was our flower girl and sitting in the front row with SIL and during our vows she yelled out 'HI NINA!' it was just so cute and made everyone laugh. I'm going to show her that video when she is older

2 - My dad cried when he first saw me and i COMPLETELY didn't expect that I can count on one hand how many times I've seen my dad cry.

1. Our first look I remember walking to the elevator, through the long hallway in our hotel, all by myself with our video guy. It was such an emotional moment...and next thing I knew, I was tapping on his shoulder, he turned around, totally gasped, said 'omg sweetie (that's what he calls me), you look absolutely amazing', did this stepping back move, started crying and we hugged for the longest time while we both cried. When we walked down the stairs both of our families were there to greet us.

2. My little niece dancing at the wedding. She was doing all these funny crazy moves, and we were just twirling each other. It was so awesome to see her and my other niece having a ball. I will never forget them there at the wedding and thinking, next time they're in a big white ballgown it will be their wedding. I got so emotional.

I remember DH calling me the afternoon of the wedding in the middle of picture taking to ask if I took care of some minute detail (I didn't, but in all fairness he didn't take care of the last minute thing I asked him to do either!) and he said 'Sooo.... I'll see you when you're about halfway down the aisle.' We're both very blind and did not wear our glasses on our wedding day.

I have 3 moments....

1. I was tearing up in the chair while getting my hair done and DH's adorable niece ran over to me and said 'Auntie Suzie, why are you sad on your wedding day?' and gave me the biggest hug. I told her that I was not sad - they are happy tears (just having an emotional bride moment ) and 'I just want to look my best for Uncle Rich.' She then said in the cutest little girl voice 'You are the prettiest girl I know Auntie Suzie.' It was priceless and just what I needed to hear.

2. When we were saying our vows and DH said 'I take you to be my wife' I completely fell apart. I will never forget how I felt at that moment. Pure Happiness!

3. Our first dance was also amazing. I truly felt like 'we can do anything together' -- just like the Dave Matthews lyrics we were dancing to.

Seeing DH while walking down the aisle. His face was unforgettable. We did a reveal before the ceremony, but when that moment came where the doors opened up and I took that first step out, it was like a dream. Everyone faded away and my eyes were fixated on his. Best moment of my life...

I don't know. Partially, it's all a blur, and partially there are so many moments. What sticks out in my mind is dancing my azz off on the dance floor. I also just remember walking into the church and it was SO FULL. I was worried i wouldn't be because DH's side is Jewish, but it was FULL, and I was looking at all the people, and then once I saw DH, I was only looking at him.

I remember our last dance with the Mickey ears. I love that song

I remember a lot of times during the ceremony just holding hands and looking into each others' eyes. I think that's the most vivid thing.
