My first NWQOTD

Thank you so much Carey for making me NWOTW. I hope I will make you proud!

So after this weekends TWOTY all I am thinking about is how wonderful the food was.

My first question is actually a 2 parter

Did you eat at your wedding?

What was the 1 food that you were looking foward to eating?
______________________________________

I made sure I ate. We had a buffet and I had so much yummy food I wanted to definately have some.

The 1 food i was looking foward to was the Fried Calamari. I had it at the food tasting and that was all I kept talking about was how delish it was.

Re: My first NWQOTD

Oh, DH and I definitely ate at our wedding ... we refused to not eat. Though ultimately we weren't really that hungry so we really only ate a few bites of everything.

The one thing we were looking forward to (which we almost didn't get) was the grilled cheese shooters at CH (mini grilled cheese sandwiches with a 'shot' of tomato bisque on the side) ... they were soooooo yummy

Re: My first NWQOTD

My plan was to definitely eat....I ended up missing CH because we had to finish taking pictures (at the time my late FIL was quite sick and ended up having to go back to his hotel room while we were taking pictures between the church and the CH so we made up for that lost time during CH...I wouldn't change anything for the world because while we did miss a bunch of CH we ended up with so many beautiful family pictures. Now that my FIL has passed my DH TREASURES the pictures we got).

I did have a bunch of bites at dinner....not as much as I would have liked because I was basically on the dancefloor ALL NIGHT! We had 3 menus options and they served me a sampler of all 3..mmmm!!!

Re: My first NWQOTD

Yes, we ate at our wedding - we made a point to since you're paying so much for amazing food, we didn't want to pass it up! But I was SO nervous that I really didn't end up eating much. They set us up in the bridal suite with all of our amazing CH food and I only tasted a few things.

One food I was looking forward to was the mashed potato bar, but I never got to it. Thankfully, when we made out menu, I asked for mashed potatoes as my side instead of roasted like everyone else got because I had a feeling I wasnt going to get to the potato bar - so I still got to have em' anyway!

eta: they sent us back to the hotel w/ one of each entree - chicken, steak & fish - and that's when we really got to enjoy the food!!

Re: My first NWQOTD

We made sure we ate... not so much at the cocktail hour as we were moving around to say hello to our guests... Our nephew made sure he made a plate of food for us and put it in our hands while we walked around!

But we absolutely sat and had dinner.

All I wanted the whole day - was the lamb chops during the cocktail hour... and they were delic!!!

Re: My first NWQOTD

1. I absolutely ate. I stuffed my face at CH as evidenced by this photo. I didn't even have a chair, I ran over with a plate of food and sat down on my friend's lap and had at it. Eventually they moved me over to DH's lap since it was our wedding and all that. But I didn't want to greet anyone, I just wanted to eat.

2. The things I was looking forward to the most- our cake and the ice cream cannoli which I didn't get to eat.

omg I ate so many mashed potatoes at your wedding...

I ate a good amount at my wedding- our BA brought food into the bridal suite during cocktail hour so I picked then... and I had a few bites of duck and filet mignon at dinner.

I was looking most forward to the mashed potato bar and the chocolate fountain... I had a bite of mashed potato and a chocolate covered banana. Wahhh I wanted more.

I ate somewhat. The 2 things I were looking forward to was the gnocci in mushroom cream sauce at cocktail, and the molton chocolate cake during dessert.

I definitely ate. I refused not to enjoy the food. I was most looking forward to the mashed potato bar, the friend calamari and the chocolate fountain/ ice cream plated dessert. I ate all of the above, but didn't get to enjoy too much of the chocolate fountain because I was SO stuffed !

When that was over my cake piece was already taken away! double boooooooooo!
