My Grandpa passed away

Please pray for my dad and our family. My grandpa passed away in the middle of the night, he was suffering so it's best that he is with God now. The next few days will be rough, this is my first grandparent to pass away

Maggie honey I am so sorry... I lost my 1st grandparent (my grandfather) when I was 13 and my last grandparent (my grandmother) when I was 28. Consider yourself blessed to have had the amount of time you had with him. I wished that at least one of my grandparents were still alive the day I got married...

DH lost both grandfathers in WWII, 1 grandmother to stomach cancer when DH's mother was only 14 - so DH had only met 1 grandma once when he was 10 and then she died shortly thereafter. So he really never knew any of his grandparents & I always felt so bad for him for that. My best memories were of the times I spent with my grandparents...

I am so sorry, but that is pretty amazing to only lose your first grandparent now. That is a blessing in itself.
