My Hair...

Looks horrible!! Its been light brown with blonde highlights for the last 10 years but i decided i wanted a change so i went really dark brown with auburn highlights. It looks awful- its so dark , i look like a witch! Oh well, only 8 weeks until my next hair appointment- i guess i can make it

If you hate it that much, you dont have to wait 8 weeks to dye it again, you can do it again in just a few weeks.

I made the appointment already to go back in May , but i guess i could call and move it up to something sooner. I just wonder if i will get used to it and like it more? Doubt it but im hoping so.

yeah i am sure they have an appt available sooner than that.

Many times when you first get your hair done and make a big change, you're not used to it and i know alot of girls who hated their hair at first but then loved it. Also when its first done the color can be a bit more dramatic, will wash out a bit. I guess wait a bit and see if you like it. Do you have pics?

I didnt upload them but i guess ill post them in the morning and get some opinions. Maybe its not as bad as i think cause like you said, its just a really drastic difference. Ill definitely post some tomorrow morning.

I did the same to my hair. I went darker before I got prego, to prepare. Hated it!!! But it got lighter eventually and now I like it. Wait till it washes out a bit! Lets see some pics!

Yeah maybe you just need to get used to it. Or next time do a color in between that you feel will go better with your complexion.

aw. I did that style a little while before my wedding. I made my hair a pinch darker (not black, just a darker shade of brown) with auburn highlights and it looked incredible. I'm so sorry though that you don't like yours. It's the WORST to get a hair dye (or cut) that you don't like. You're right though, maybe it's just the shock of the change. I mean, you did say that you've had blond highlights for 10 years. If I were you, I'd give it at LEAST a couple weeks before changing it - just to see if it has grown on you. It might actually look amazing and you just don't realize. But if you really don't like it, definitely try to move up that appointment. It's no good to be running around with hair you despise (I'm sure it doesn't look as bad as you think tho)

If you don't like it Christina call them and tell them you want to change it, can they put a toner in that will lighten it up? I believe they can! You don't have to suffer for 8 weeks!

She said wait a couple weeks because it will lighten alot. So i am going to go back in 2 weeks if im still unhappy.

I think it looks really good!
Alot of times when I first dye my hair, I have to get used to it. After the first few washes I love it.

I think it looks GREAT. I love dark hair and I tihnk it looks good on you

I always go dark and at first i'm like OMG what the hell did I do, I look sickly. Then I get used to it after a few days and end up sticking with it!
