my house - demolition stage pics

I spent the last 2 days ripping our new house apart. We removed the flooring throughout the house, ripped down a wall, removed more paneling that anyone should ever have in one house.

Here are some of the pics. DH and I are doing the work ourselves with a some help from family.

That's great! Are you doing it to flip it or for yourselves?

I watch way too much HGTV / TLC... that looks impossible!!! I'm so impressed!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope this is just for us....DH says he want to flip and I work in construction so I could do it but its tons of work and Im not sure Im up for doing other peoples houses.

LOL yeah I know what you mean (well, sorta -- I can see what you mean -- I've never done it!). It always seems like people pour their heart and soul into their flips and really make the home reflect them... then they sell it!!!!!

That would drive me nuts!!!

I can't wait to see what you do to it! That's so exciting! It's just the cutest house ever from the outside!!!!

Wow, good luck. I know what that is like. We are painting the last room in our house today. We closed on it Oct. 2008. We have redone almost every room in the house. Its so exciting to be nearing the end of major projects.

Where did you buy your house? Thank GOD we're buying a new construction (which we just fell into thanks to our agent--didn't contract somebody to build for us); DH and I are NOT in the least bit 'house flippers,' so I totally admire and respect what you're doing! I can't wait to watch these rooms evolve!!!

We are in Farmingdale. I love to do this kind of stuff so for me I could never buy new and we actually only looked at house we had to fix up.
