He's at a conference and we talk a couple of times a day, but I miss him. He's been gone for 2 nights and I've stayed up till 2am both nights. When I finally do make it to bed I have to put pillows on his side.
I'm thinking of going to sleep at my parent's house this weekend. I can't believe this is so hard. We've only been married for 5 months and I lived alone for years before we got married!
Has anyone else had to deal with this? How did you handle it?

Last year, when we were only married for 5 months, my DH got a new job and was away 6 weeks for training! While he was gone, I did all of the things that I liked doing that he didn't like me doing or that we really didn't have time to do. I spent hours on LIW and online, I knitted and crocheted tons of things, I went shopping alot, had girls nights out, spent time with my mom and grandparents, baked cookies and sent then to him... stuff like that! As for sleeping, I had my dog to sleep with me!

My husband goes away every year for training for 2 weeks!! Its hard but I am busy with school so I do my work!

Yes!!!! DH had to leave for 3 nights 3 day after we got back from our HM. He was gone last night too, and will be gone this Mon-Wed. He's actually traveling each week in March
I don't sleep well (or at all) when he's not home. Last night I slept on his side of the bed. I also lived alone before we got married.

I have to go to training this Sunday for 2 weeks!!! I don't want to go!!! I'm gonna miss DH. I don't want to sleep alone in a hotel room. The good thing is I don't have to room with anyone, so I can go to my room and call DH without being judged for not going out and getting drunk.

I deal with this about 10 days of the month and I hate it. I didn't mind when we weren't married- in fact, I loved it and hung out with friends, did more yoga, etc. I don't know why its harder married.
It definately was horrible this week so I definately know how you feel

I know how you feel; my husband travels one week every month for his job - I hate it when he's not home!
