So you guys know I moved into a new neigbhorhood and feel a little bit out of my element. I have gotten to know my two next door neighbors and have become hi and bye friendly with the older couple next door (old enough to be my parents).
I have been paying $6 to take a taxi to the LIRR every morning. And I saw them all last week leaving around the same time but didn't think anything of it. Well apparently they walk the mall at 8am every morning and THEY offered to drive me to the train station but I felt bad taking them up on the offer.
So this morning I look out the window because someone was honking, and it was my neighbor waiting in my driveway. She took me to the train station this morning because she said 'it was too cold for me to take a taxi.' I am so touched this morning I had to share.

Wow thats really nice, but Im going to play devils advocate people are not that nice. Sorry I would they were weird JMO

Wacky they are like 65+ years old and they are home all day. I think we give them some motivation to go out. They are just old-school nice people that still believe in being neighborly and I guess because of our age they see as 'kids' starting out just like they did 40 years ago.
But yes I will be careful.

That is awesome!!! My neighbors are pretty cool.. They brought over a thermos with coffee and tea and such when we were moving in.. I love that!

THAT is nice of them what time is your train? I pass there sometimes but not till 840ish I leave my house like 835 everyday if you ever need me

So I have to give you guys an update. They started making me late because he drives slow ha ha. Anyway I feel really bad imposing on them so I politely told them that I am driving to the station (plus I need a ride back home). So we agreed I would call on them in case of emergency (like my car won't start). I still plan to get them a gift as a thank you for this week.

Irene- do you pay 6.00 a day to park there??? your better off going to bellmore its free craig goes to bellmore or I drop him off b/c Oyster bay wont give you a permit b/c we are town of hempstead......
