My proofs are terrible...

Girls I can't begin to explain how upset I am...I have a 1000 pics that look as if I had 2 amature photographers take pictures at my wedding. I hired 2 guys and you would think that they would have different angles or shots..well it is as if they stood next to each other and snapped the same pictures...and not well either. I had the most beautiful day, the sky was as blue as could be...every picture i took outside by myself or with my girls the sky is whited out, I look as if I am blending in with it. The boys pics on the beach, the same thing...and they must have been shooting into the sun because a majority of his pics have orbs in them...3 pics of me and my dad walking down the isle and i say 3 because the others are the same shot that was taken from the other photographer........DON'T YOU THINK THEY WOULD HAVE HAD ONE OF THE PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE BACK WITH ME AND MY DAD?!?!?!? It's as if the day or the emotion of the day wasn't captured at all. No pics of our rings...no close up picstures of Joe and I!!!! There are a few of us close up in the church and than that is it!! The pics with our bridal party...we look like dots in the pics that is how far away they are! I haven't slept a full night since Wed night when I picked them up, I wake up staring at the wall thinking of what i am going to say to them when I call on Monday. I am so upset, this is a part of my life I won't ever be able to get back. I feel like it is going to take work to edit these pics to get them to where we want them I can't even pick a picture for our Thank You I feel like I sat there and explained everything in detail, and provided pictures and still didn't get what I was supposed to. I am so beside myself...sorry for this being so long. When I can muster up the energy to look at them again I will scan a few but as of now I don't even want to look at them, it just gets me all upset again. I think out of 1000 i found 20 that aren't bad...sorry i had to vent...

Oh honey I am so sorry. There is a girl on BHB that just posted something similar and I feel terrible for both of you. I hope that you are able to make an album you like and that you will remember the day with good thoughts - it will always be in your memory. And you should get some money back!!!!!

i am so sorry hun!!! i don't even know what to say to try and make you feel better. If you'd like i'll call your photographers and let em have it.. i have some frustration built up!! lol.
Seriously though, i hope they can work with you on editing and maybe at least get you some shots you are happy with!!! lots of hugs!!!

when you are ready i would go down there to talk face to face with the owner of the company and see what can be done for you....
i truly hope you can be compensated for this and pull together some good shots to have to remember this special day....

You know i thought about that but part of me feels that the moment is gone...and the money we spent on it too, to just spend that money again kills me, although I told Joe that when we have a child I am hiring angelica glass for a photoshoot with the baby!

I definitely agree, even though I just read that you feel like now the moment is gone. My DH feels the same way with our pictures because we didn't have time to take photos outdoors like we wanted to. There was also lots of things I wanted to take pictures of or with that we didn't so I totally understand where you are coming from!
I also agree maybe you can talk to them about editing the style and quality of pics. I am shocked sometimes by the things you can do with photoshop! Feel better!!

oh mmia I am so sorry that you hate your proofs and you are right nothing will make it better. my photographer missed alot, so I started calling guests and asking them to send me their pictures and I have gotten so many amazing ones from them, I am going to use those to make my own album- maybe try your friends and family and see if they have pictures that are better

and then tell off your jerky photographer!

I am soo sorry to hear that ! I think you should talk to your photog, I felt the same way about my pictures and he told me that a lot of the pics look far away , but when they are in an album they will be a lot closer up then in the picture and white orbs SHOULD be able to digitally removed ect .

I think they should touch up the pictures not you ! That is THEIR job . I know how disppointing it is but I would discuss your concerns about the orbs and the bright light , I had a few of those and my photog said he can fix those

oh no! m-i-a how terrible! i know how excited you were to finally get your proofs. I cant imagine the disappointment you are feeling. hopefully you can work with the photographer to make the most out of the pics you did get

dont let this take away the happy memory of that day. you will always have that in your heart even when the pictures fade! keep us updated!
