My wedding is over and my house is a wreck!!!

Wow, we came home from the HM over a week ago. Then we both had a very busy social and work schedule for the last week.

Today is my first free day and DH is out of town. I'm feeling so stressed because my house is sooo messy!!!

I have to unpack from HM
Do tons of laundry
Unpack wedding gifts and start finding places for the new dishes, kitchen appliances, etc

Just rambling because I obviously want to procrastinate before cleaning.......

I KNOW exactly how you feel. Right after our wedding we had to move in less than a week to our new apt and we hadn't even packed. I suggest you take it ONE step at a time. You don't want to overwhelm yourself. I remember I had sooooo many things going on at the same time including my brother moving in with us because of some family problems. And I ended up one night at the ER because I had an anxiety attack and couldn't breathe...and we were on our way to Home Depot when this happened...lol.

Like I said one step at a time and things will get done in time. Don't stress and don't go crazy.

ugh ...we are still getting settled and our wedding was in September!

we are in the EXACT same boat!!!! i can't take it anymore - there is stuff everywhere! we still have engagement gifts sitting in the living room!! we finally invested in some of those large rubbermaid tubs and DH has been putting stuff in the attic all day.

I was feeling like a bad homemaker with the mess our house was in. It is still over cluttered, but I did unpack, do a couple loads of laundry, and move all the gifts from the middle of the living room to corners in our dining room. So at least the house has most space now.

Still so much to do.....

I can understand. I unpacked from HM but have not been able to move into house with DH. We have a tenant in the house and she wont move out. We are in the process of getting her evicted so in the meantime I am still sleeping in my apartment on some nights and the others I am with DH at his apartment. Hopefully this will all be resolved by 11/30 (that was her deadline given to her by the Courts) but I have a feeling that I won't be there intime for christmas.

Sorry, I just needed to vent.

Marcia - it all comes together. DH and I went on a big christmas shopping trip to Lancaster 3 days after a week long vacation. Calling the apartment a disaster was being kind. But slowly but surely we got everything put away
