Name Change @ DMV?

Does anyone know if you can go to the DMV Express on 8th Avenue to do this?

I have been calling all morning and it's not clear on the website.

Thanks

Yes! Thank you!! Thank you! Thank you!

I know it will only take 20 minutes there but probably 2 hours at a regular DMV. I just wan't sure.

Re: Name Change @ DMV?

I thought you couldn't. I know when I went a year ago - I called and was told not for name change. I had to go to the one by Modells/Daffy's and was there for over 3 hours - it was miserable!

Re: Name Change @ DMV?

I just went to Social Security to change my name officially yesterday. I will go to DMV soon. Could I have avoided visit to SS office?

no - you have to do the SS name change in person at the SS office. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes!
