My mom said to use my maiden name as my middle name and DH's last name as my last name when I change my name on official documents all that other fun stuff. Has anyone heard of this?

I've heard of people doing it. I'm just changing my last name though... maiden name went bye bye ()

why don't you just have it hyphenated

I'm not into the whole hyphenation thing, there's already an apostrophe in my new last name, no need to add more confusion (or punctuation marks). I'll probably just drop my maiden name
