My Mom and I need to throw a baby shower for my brother's wife. Her Mom/family is unable to contribute, so we want to keep it nice but not super expensive since we're assuming all the costs. Can anyone suggest a nice/fairly priced place to do a BRUNCH anywhere in between Port Jeff and Hicksville (lol I know that's a huge area, but we're really flexible).

Does it have to be the north shore?? We've been looking into places for my baby shower BUT they're all on the South Shore!

I went to a bridal shower at La Famiglia in plainview. But I know the bride lives in hicksville and i remember them saying she lives like 5 mins away, so im guessing plainview is close lol.
The food was VERY delicious. DOn't know the price though sorry.

we eat there alot. Its right by work and its pretty reasonable. I know the family style dishes are under 20.00 for most of them

Hemingway's in Wantagh has a good brunch and is reasonable.

I think we're all generally from North or Central LI but I am def not opposed to checking out some South Shore places!

Zans did a lovely brunch-right by Smithaven Mall and the food was yummy! It used to be Ben's and they are just so nice there.
Another idea that I had in the past is bringing things in and cooking and having a waiting company serve.
If you have a place Jess, I can ask my buddy who does catering on the weekend what she charges.
