Need brutally honest hair opinions

OK, so I'm debating doing something with my hair color. Enough of you have met me or seen me in person at least once, if not a few times, so you know that my hair is a very dark brown, but with some natural coppery undertones. I'm debating playing up those undertones.

But I'm PALE, and I don't want to look washed out. I'd probably just do a glaze, nothing permanent or damaging because my hair is so coarse and frizzy, chemical treatment isn't the way to go here. I don't know if a golden brown would show up on me, and I don't know if a more red brown will look garish on me.

I need brutal honesty...if you think any of these options will look like shiz on me, I want to know. I'm terrified to mess with my natural hair, but at the same time I feel like I need to do something rebellious lol.

i am pale and i always go for the darkest brown i could find. i love dark brown with pale skin.

i don't like red, bc i had it once, and i looked like my italian grandma with burgundy hair, it just looked terrible and took forever to wash out.

I like it natural. So, I'd stay stick with your natural do or do a simple glaze. If you do have hints of red, try that.

But, it seems like you are a little too frightened to try something new. I am this way. I used to dye my hair ALL the time and honestly, now that I don't, my hair is better than ever. Once you start coloring it, it's something you have to do forever.

i have brown hair and i usedto highlight it blonde a lot. My wedding hair girl told me to go dark because it would make my skin tone look better. i'm pale and was nervous but she said it will even out my skin tone where blondes or other lighter colors may bring out a blue undertone to pale skin.
i do have to say, i dyed dark brown over my highlighted hair and the blonde highlights turned reddish and looked so awesome.
i guess im not much of a help lol.
