Need fun day trips

DH and I are going with another couple on Sunday on a double date. We were trying to think of a day trip. We thought of the Bronx Zoo but I think its too cold and we were recently there. I thought you girls would have some good ideas for me

Maybe brunch in the city and then a museum

helicopter ride

chelsea piers

Maybe a cooking class

A broadway show and then serendipity or elsewhere for lunch

i would say south street seaport but maybe a bit too cold for that, they have those speedboat rides.

I also love the planetarium and hall of science, that is fun lol

I was gonna make the same suggestion. I think thy may close a little earlier though- Im not sure.

I think they still do the seal watching crusies out of Point Lookout. I went with a friend a few years ago and it was really nice. We brought thermoses of spiked hot apple cider!

Maybe the Brooklyn Aquarium? I've never been there, but alway wanted to go.

We went to the Bronx Zoo yesterday and had a GREAT time! It is so nice going places when they aren't packed.

Next weekend we are going to the Aquarium in Riverhead, but there is also the one in Coney Island.

The week after that we are going to the Hall of Science!

I can't wait to hear our niece say AGAIN 'Ew, you are married - why are you going on dates?'

i just saw your post above, i am so jealous youre going to the hall of science. I keep asking DH but he thinks im jk half the time lol and im so serious. I am gonna make him go soon lol. ANd i keep asking to go to the planetarium, i love this sort of stuff.

LOL i just looked it up and all the pictures are of kids! what the heck??

We cant decide btw the CI Aquarium and the one in Riverhead. . . I havent been to the one in CI in YEARS but we have NEVER been to the one in Riverhead. . .

we love going to the botanical gardens- they have an indoor conservatory and grounds that are nice to walk around- if the weather is good

we went to spa castle in queens with another couple this weekend and that was also fun- they had all kinds of pools and relaxation chairs- it was great

I wish it was warmer out. Most of the good things require nice weather

Ohh, I've been wanting to go to the planetarium for years. I haven't been there since I was little. There and the Museum of Natural History was always my favorite school trip.

I can't think of anything else right now that hasn't already been suggested.

Old Westbury Gardens or Planting fields Mansion tour (Maybe boring 4 the guys) LOL

OUtlet shopping (oh yeah, who has any $$) lol

Central Park, FAO Schwartz, Serendipity

TOP of the Rock, top of Empire State Building

CAVO in Astoria has good greek food and good for hanging @ nite
