need help - 30th birthday bash

okay, so one of my really good friends from out of state is turning 30 soon. i was planning on going down for her suprise party!!

HOWEVERRRRRRRRRRRRR.....the weather forecast is looking pretty iffy, so im not sure if its a great idea to drive that far in bad weather.


so, im thinking....if i dont go what should i do? send something? like what? where?

help! need to think/act fast....b/c my hotel reservations are already booked, and i have until tomorrow to cancel w/o being charges

When is the party? This weekend?

I would maybe consider sending a card and a teeny tiny gift indicating you will come down another weekend to take her out instead? I mean if you were planning on going to see her anyway.

i was planning on going down for the party. if i dont go, i will save $, so i can send her a better gift too....

i just hate missing surprise parties especially for such a cool friend.... arrrggg

Right, I just thought since you were planning on going it means this is a good enough friend that you will go out of your way for. So why not go down another weekend -not for the party- and hang out with her then and take her out to dinner/spa day/whatever.

But send a card or something for the day of the party so there's something for her to open and let her know you intend to come to town ASAP to take her out!

If it was me I would love seeing you more than any material gift.

Call a local florist where the party will be held and have them deliver her flowers with a special note from you during the party.
