Let me give you some background...My best friend and her husband dated for over 8 years before they got married in 04. They have been seperated for about a year and a half. They have a 3 year old son. He is desperate to get her back. She wants to be swept off of her feet...any ideas?

Oh that is so nice to hear!....so has he planned on re-proposing? That would be really sweet....or take her away for a long weekend & repropose.
Another thing would be to set up a surprise vow renewal to her with some close friends & family maybe....
Or take her to where they had their honeymoon....then re-propose and recite his wedding vows again...or even write new vows?

What does she want did she give you any clues? Does she like flowers or material things or is she more of a person that likes simple things?

Re: Need help...
So she wants the old razzle dazzle does she...each person has a different take on what sweeps them off their feet...some like to have things bought for them and other like energy & thought put into thing...I personally prefer the latter...what if he puts together a fancy dinner at his place...this way he has to shop, cook, and clean...that combination alone would get me all hot & bothered..then desert could be a run to 7/11 for Hag Daz bars and a stroll around the neighborhood.

Re: Need help...
April what are some of the things she loved that he used to do? Movies? Mall? Cooking together? Playing board games? Cuddling? That is where I would have him focus.

My guess is to forget the gold and Bling than. Sounds more like she wants more of a emotional connection.

Re: Need help...
I would say they start off really small with date nights...a way of reconnecting and finding the love they lost...they both need to put in a lot of energy if this is going to work...so I don't think it should all be on him...so perhaps bowling, mini golf, movies (maybe in the park or see if they can find a drive in), cook together, beach dates, ice cream night, things along those lines...the biggest thing is for them to have fun together while creating new memories...am I making sense?

Re: Need help...
ok this is going to sound really Gay.. but what about him giving her a CD with all songs that he is dedicating to her. Or calling her during the day and just putting the phone to her VM with their specific song ?
Sending flowers to her (at a job) roses but not just roses. All different colors with a note of each color meaning and what it means to him about her.
Tell her about the many different smiles she has or expressions and what they all mean to him and that it brightens his day to think of all of them.
A dinner date that is a total surprise to her with maybe a Limo for the evening.
Cooking dinner for her at home with rose pedals all over and candles.
Wknd geteways are totally great too something local but far enough way to get out of dogde. Tell him to draw her a bath ,bring massage oil or to even paint her toes
txt messages that say 'will you marry me' (my hub does this still..I melt everytime I get them)
I love the getting ice cream and walking around the park together. kudos to KNS

OOPHHH NONE of this is gay...I it all...I loved it when Scott once used almost a whole stack of post it notes and put things he loved about me or our relationship all over my apartment...I was finding things days after (he hide them in the strangest and funniest places). Jenn what you loved was how Scott proposed the 1st time (long story better told over sushi ).
