Need help newlyweds...question about 'the kiss'

I am wearing red lipstick the day of the wedding. In my makeup trial she put a pretty gloss on top of the lips to give more shine. I was just thinking what happens when we kiss after the priest says 'You may now kiss your bride?' Is FH going to have a huge red mark on his lips? I want to give him a great kiss and not a peck up there. What am I going to do?

Did your lipstick come off on your hubby? How did you prevent this? Thanks ladies!

Mine didn't come off! I had a shiny gloss on top of the lip stick too. But Kim, I had the same bouquet but in black magic roses!

I didnt wear red but I didnt have any problems with what I did wear transferring to him. If you are using a professional makeup artist, he/she should help you get something that wont smear too much. And if you reapply before hte ceremony, blot on a tissue before the ceremony.

Gosh, I don't remember what happened. I didnt wear red lipstick...but I don't remember DH having any problems...I think because it wasn't all that fresh, I put it on probably an hour prior to the kiss and blotted.

I chose not to wear my gloss for the church and put it on for the reception. I didn't want it to smear AND I thought that by adding it for the party was just a little more sparkle for the evening.

I had the gloss also. I don't believe it got on my husband but then again I did give him some pecks at the altar, didn't want my lipstick coming off-wanted it to look perfect for the pictures.

In the end it came off anyways, every time the photographer said 'kiss'. I can even see it in some of my pictures that the lipstick was coming off

I didn't use gloss that day. I had the lady who did my makeup use a lipstick that stayed on all night because I didn't want to get it all over DH either.

I didn't wear red, but my lipstick didn't go onto my hubby. I see you're using Jillian. I used her too and she used makeup that would stay on. I had no problems!
