Need help with a name for our soon-to-be pup -- UPDATE!

Grrrrr...Dh and I cant agree!

We're getting a female puppy in about 2 weeks and we cant agree on a name. We want something army-related (or patriotic) but everything sounds like a boys name.

I like America
DH likes Trooper (but I think thats a boys name)

Any suggestions??? Which do you like, if either, or do you have a better one??

Thanks for all your adorable suggestions! You guys had such cute ideas that I never would have thought of on my own.
I called Dh and he loves the name Liberty. An '07 bride also suggested Marie which sounds like MRE (packets of meals the guys eat out in the field....which DH has a habit of eating at home too because he's strange) and DH loved that idea so much he said lets call it Emory (whihc also sounds like MRE) and call it emmy for short. SO, thanks to your suggestions we're down to either Liberty or Emory.

Hmmm good question. I can't wait to get a dog but the name is going to be a tough one for us too.

I like Trooper but I think it may sound too much like a boy name. The only thing I've come up with so far is 'Liberty'.

Haha...that seems to be the popular response. I've had a few people mention the name Liberty. I'm not wild about it, but then again, I'm not wild about America either. What would you call the dog for short? Amer....Mer...Ica

Abby, for short?!?

How about Cadet?
I know a girl who was a Cadet in the army which is why that name came to me... It's really the only army orientated name I know.

I'd name her Lincoln... then if you want, call her Link, or somethign along those lines (that way it isn't too masculine)
