Need help with thank you wording.

We had a pre-printed saying in the cards and then we wrote comments in most cards, especially for close family and friends and those that were extremely generous!

We had printed up inside:

The lovely gift you gave us
will remain a special part
of the memories we hold so dear
forever in our hearts!

I wrote:

Dear John and Mary,

Thank you so much for your generous gift! We were so glad you were there to share our special day with us. We hope you had a great time and enjoyed yourselves. Thank you again!


Certain ones like close family and friends had a little more personal messages too but this was the main gist of them. HTH!

We used some variation of this for each of them:

Dear ,

Thank you so much for your generous wedding gift. It will be very helpful to us as we look to buy our first home and begin our married life. It meant so much to us that you were able to be with us to celebrate. It was great to be surrounded by our friends as well as our families on one of the best days of our lives. Thank you again for everything and we hope that this New Year is filled with blessings, happiness and good health.
