need hugs...video...
I've been really upset about this since we watched it last night. At least we have something, but...
- It shows DH putting the ring on my finger, then it PANS TO THE FLOOR AND SHOWS OUR FEET AND THE AISLE RUNNER for a few seconds as I'm starting to put the ring on DH's finger. I gasped while watching the DVD last night, I was so horrified.
- It jumps from 'Ave Maria' to everyone standing and clapping and DH & I are kissing, completely cutting out 'you may now kiss the bride' or whatever the priest said to prompt the clapping and kissing.
- It missed our 1st cake cutting song.
- Interviews were supposed to be conducted at the head tables (BP and parents). No interviews of my parents. Instead, we have my 14 y/o cousin scowling and pushing the camera away and a words from a friend of FMIL who neither DH nor I knew.
- DH and I danced by ourselves to an entire song somewhere in the middle of the reception. Not even one second of it is on the DVD or raw footage.
Then, we put on the raw footage to see if some of the things that were screwed up/missing in the DVD were there. Nope. In fact, of the six hours our video guy spent with us, we have 2.5 hours of footage -- and that includes an hour-long full Catholic Mass! What was he doing for the 3.5 hours of our reception that were not videotaped??? Where was my DOC to notice that he only taped 1.5 hours worth of the reception???
I had pretty much come to terms with the things that went wrong at the wedding and now it's like opening raw wounds.
I'm embarrassed by the video and don't want to show it to anyone.
