As some of you may know, DH and I were in the house hunt. We found a house we liked, and we put in an offer today! We seriously low-balled 'em, but we're praying they come back with a counteroffer and that somehow we can meet in the middle.
Please send lots of luck our way! We NEED it! THANK YOU!!!
UPDATE: They won't even counteroffer. The guy wants to sell it at his price. Ugh. Oh well. back to the drawing board. But I'm beginning to think we're just not ready. We just need more money before we do this.

we're in a similar place, tara. and we're gonna start looking again in another 6-9 mos. just look at it like...that wasnt the place meant for you guys for some reason! exciting that there is something likely much better out there for you guys. youll find it!

I'm sorry that you didn't get a counteroffer. That $ucks!! It is so stressful buying a house...especially when you find one that you really love that is a bit over your price range. The house that DH and I bought [and closed on 5 weeks before our wedding! ] was a total rollercoaster too! We low balled them and they countered and then lost the deal to the other party that had also made an offer!! But then, the contract fell thru so we did eventually get the house at the price that we countered back with...about 50K less than the asking price!!
All I really want to tell you is...keep looking. That wasn't the right house for you and DH. But there is one out there. You can do this!! Best of luck to you guys!!
