As some of you may know, DH and I were in the house hunt. We found a house we liked, and we put in an offer today! We seriously low-balled 'em, but we're praying they come back with a counteroffer and that somehow we can meet in the middle.

Please send lots of luck our way! We NEED it! THANK YOU!!!

UPDATE: They won't even counteroffer. The guy wants to sell it at his price. Ugh. Oh well. back to the drawing board. But I'm beginning to think we're just not ready. We just need more money before we do this.

I'm sorry he didn't even counter offer!!! when we got our house the bidding was sooooo stressful!!! I felt like I needed a crystal ball to know what their 'magic number' was or something! is this guy selling it himself or through a realtor? sometimes I feel like the ones that sell themselves expect more money. good luck Tara!! you and Brett will find the right place, just give it time. and don't let greedy sellers stress you out!! you never know which ones are a little more desperate and will take a lower offer.....don't give up!!

Ugh, so sorry they didn't even counteroffer! Everything happens for a reason though, so if this didn't work out it's because it wasn't meant for you guys. You'll find THE ONE when the time is right. Good luck!!!

Sorry to hear he was not willing to negotiate. Did he just list the house? If he just listed it he may be living in a fantasy world where he thinks he will get what he is asking. This happened to a friend of ours. A month after turning down the offer the seller called them to accept their offer but they had by this time found a even better house.

I hope an even better dreamier dream house is in your future

Houses are like boyfriends you think they are all THE ONE until you actually find THE ONE and then you think to yourself what did I ever see in that other house this one os 5000000 times better.
