Need photo help!!!

When the conditions are very bright/sunny outside, do the photos always turn out light? Can something be done to have them have normal, and not very light either after taking the picture or after developing it?

They sell different speeds of film for different types of pictures. I think 100 speed is for outside.

You can correct many things with photo editing programs.

When the photos look washed out, it means the photographer has not set the camera properly but you can usually make the picture look a lot better if you have some photo editing tools available to you.

So a 'too light' photo can be adjusted for darkness and contrast via digital enhancing, but nothing can be done with normal photo developing (i.e. the old way)? Is this correct?

No, a photo can be corrected using traditional developing but its much more labor intensive, takes skill and is thus expensive. (Manupulating the contrast the old fashion way is called dodging and burning)

The digital way is cheaper and easier to experiment with.
