Need some advice. We lost some envelopes from the wedding!
I couldn't sleep last night thinking about this. I feel so embarrassed.
My DH (Still feel funny saying that :)) and I finally got around to opening the wedding gifts last night and there are about 10 (who really knows at this point) envelopes missing. I say missing because I remember 1 person handing an envelope to me (how can I forget...she was the one that spilled an apple martini on me lol) and another person has been asking my mom if I liked the little thing she put in it. The other missing people were people that came to an after party we had at the hotel and apparently the envelopes were left on a table and housekeeping threw out or something. I only know 1 person for sure who did give it to me at the after party but is missing but there was at least 1 other envelope. People were just leaving them on the tables so I am not really all that shocked that we missed them.
I am really upset about this and embarrassed. The cards from the hall the maitre d took and put in a bag as soon as they were given to me so I am unclear how they could get lost. I know of 3 people that did give us a card and was lost but what about the other 5 that we have nothing from. They may not have given anything (doubtful since they are all very good friends) but you just don't know. Some advice would really be appreciated. I just hope there was no cash in them!![]()
