Need some prayers for our doggie

well our little 16 yr old yorkie doesn't seem to be doing well at all. he is having alot of accidents in the house, drinking lots of water, & alot of spinning arounding circles. my DH took him to the vet a few weeks ago & he just mentioned the spinning. he said he has vertigo & might have a tumor. he said the test for the tumor is very expensive (over $3K) & even if it is because of his age they couldn't do anything.

over the weekend, FH went to a bachelor party upstate. i noticed him having more accidents within a short period of time. FH just dismisses as part of aging. honestly, i think there may be a more serious problem. when i brought up bringing him back to vet he just says we'll see how he is. sadly, i don't think he wants to bring him cos he doesn't want to hear the truth. DH has had him for 16 yrs & i have only been with him for 2 yrs (since DH moved in). but i have grown so attached to him & will be devasted as well. what am i worried about his DH reaction. Max has been with DH through some really tough times & i could tell he was really upset when i told him he has to call the vet.

this one is a really tough decision. i really pray that max isn't suffering & for my DH to get through this. Trust me i am devasted but need to stay strong for DH

The accidents may be a UTI you should have that test done. I know it wont stop the sponning but it will stop the accidents if it is a UTI

that he gets better soon...i have 2 dogs and hate that feeling when something isn't right!

Aww I am so sorry. I know how you feel I have had 3 dogs in my life. One I still have. the others passed away. They were old. 17 and 16. It's very hard to go through all of this with a pet.

Good Luck with getting a urine sample, our dog had UTI and it was the hardest thing to do

My dog went through the same thing. She was wetting everywhere. My Mom tried to put a diaper on her...but she wouldn't come in the house when she saw it.
She was a Doberman Pinscher, and died at 14.
I loved her.

Your dog has had a wonderful life, whatever decision you make, just think of that.
