Need TY help

I have about 5 TY left to do - yeah!!!
But I am having trouble with one - so I figured I would turn to you guys.
Invitation was send to a husband and wife. Husband came to wedding, wife did not. Card was from the 2 of them. How do I word the TY. I am drawing a blank.

I had to do a few like this, I wrote something like:

Thank you for your generous gift (my standard opening line )

John, we hope you enjoyed yourself as much as we did. Jane we wished you could have been there too, we missed seeing you.

Something like that...
