I just realized I have had netflix for 5 years as of this month!!

I decided to look into how many movies I have rated over that period of time and it made me wonder...

How many movies do you have rated?

no but seriously... netflix suggests lame movies for me because i'm all over the place. i think i've rated like maybe 100. and then stopped.

It really is a great tool in helping them suggest movies that you might like.

If you rate more, the suggestions get a lot better. You have to weed through some of it, but I am all over the place too. Foreign Films, Independent Films, Popular 'Netflix Top 100' Films, Thrillers, Comedies, Workout DVD's... I literally watch it all... I used to hate their suggestions but the more I rate the better it works. Plus, I don't do it for the suggestions. I do it so I remember how much I have liked a certain movie or series.
