Never again will I go to an open house that didn't post pictures on MLS

DH and I saw the scariest house today. I had to come home and shower, it was that bad. I was always skeptical of people that didn't post pictures but if that was my house I wouldn't post pictures either. Lesson learned.

ew.... gross.

funny we went to an open house today. the mlsli had only pics from the outside. so we were skeptical. actually it wasn't a bad house. we would have considered it BUT one major drawback... very little closet space. the closet in the master bedroom had space for like 5 shirts oh well the hunt continues......

yeah what is wrong with people, how do they leave a house in horrible condition when they know people will come look at it. We went to see one apartment and I seriously so grossed out, i have never seen a more dirty and messy house. Once we walked into the apartment we had to push through clothes on the floor. There was clothes throughout the whole place, covered almost every inch on the floor, clothes on the couch, table, and not just clothes but other junk was just everywhere. I felt gross just being in there, and even if it was a nice apt i just couldnt see it bc seeing it being such a mess thats all you think about it and not seeing it for what it can be.

Sorry you had such a bad experience, but yeah i always wonder about places that dont have pics.

The ad said possible mother daughter so we thought we'd check it out but we walked in and there was this terrible odor and crap EVERYWHERE. The top floor was clearly being rented out to a few bachelors that I don't think ever cleaned their apt. Then the guy who rented the apt was there and he was laying in his bed with all sorts of pills spread out on a table next to him. It was horrible but we felt bad leaving before the agent finished the tour. I think even the agent was embarassed showing us this house

Sometime pics can be deceiving too. We only went to see homes that had pics and they never looked like the picture!

There was one house that was so bad the real estate agent made us go first. I refused to go in the basement.

Always, check zillow.com they post pics of front, back and from top also. GL on the house hunting.

that happen to me, DH and i went to one when we went up stairs there was a sign haning that said ' tarot card readings 5 dollars than for some reason he opened the medicine cabinet and a bunch of voodoo tapes fell out and than there was a loud bang in the wall lol so i went out screaming and there was a black cat in the path staring at me!! very creepy!!!

I never even looked at houses that didn't show the inside and for the reason you stated!

It's scary and I have found that some of the ones that even look half decent in pics can be SCARRRYYYY when you actually get there!

sorry you had a bad experience! Before you rule out a house without pictures on MLS check the date that it was listed- sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks to get the pictures taken & loaded on there- but if its after that I definately agree with you! Good luck with your house hunt- if you need any help, I work out of East Meadow and cover Nassau.

we only went to one OH where there were no pics of the inside, and surprisingly it wasn't bad. however, the woman had only just cleaned up her place which is why she never allowed pics to be taken of the inside. i've actually had more problems seeing pics of houses online, then being nastily surprised when we got there. one house saw in merrick, the pics online were of the yard and kitchen, which looked really nice, but the inside was truly a nightmare. everything was falling apart. the kitchen was new, but very tiny and they had huge appliance and countertops. when we saw that house they were asking 469K , but now it's listed for 379K. i think they'll have a hard time getting that much.
