new home construction in your area?

Does anyone live in an area (sorry, in SUFFOLK) where they are building a new development/sub-division?

We want to look into new construction before we rule it out as an option and we have no idea where to start

can anyone recommend any sites?

what areas are you looking into. They are just building everywhere. I live in Suffolk out in Coram.

I live in Bayside and there is new construction everywhere around here. There is also an area in Beechhurst, Whitestone, which is absolutely gorgeous. But when I went with my mom to find out the prices, I almost had a heart attack. They start at 1.2 mil

I live in Nesconset and they are building in a few areas, even on my block, but I think they are sold.

As said previously there is new construction everywhere in suffolk.

at this point we are pretty much open to most neighborhoods....we are looking for a new DEVELOPMENT/NEIGHBORHOOD not just a spot builder home....

In Central Suffolk so far we have looked in:

Ronkonkoma
Lake Ronkonkoma
Centereach
Smithtown
Hauppauge
Nesconset
Lake Grove

And out east:
Manorville
Wading River
East Moriches
Center Moriches
Eastport

Im sure there are more towns I forgot.....

Our home is being built in a neighborhood - It is one of 31 homes. I believe they have only sold 12 of them so far. The builder is Silver Ridge (division of T&S). They have a model in South Setauket and an ad in Newsday in the real estate section - Just check the normal listings under 'Mt Sinai' if you want their number. They are also building communities in Nesconset, Port Jeff Station, St James, Coram, and a whole bunch of other towns. They might be worth checking out.

the town my parents live in (Greenlawn)has had a lot of construction a few years ago...now I still see houses going up, but they are not full blown developments/neighborhoods...they'll put in a court/cul de sac
