New Years plans .............

Original post by billandme

What's everyone planning on doing?

Staying home and relaxing?

Dressing up and having the time of your life?

Mixing it up.....maybe a party at home?

What are you doing?

We haven't really decided yet, but I would LOVE to go to a ski resort and just hang out there for a couple of days, with just DH and myself. Our first New Years as married couple..........

In the 6 years we've been together, he's always had to work until 12 midnight.....go figure. I'm hoping this year it'll be different. But then again, I always fall asleep early, so it wouldn't be a big deal if we don't do anything. We can always celebrate the day after. I mean, after all it will be a new year

DH & I will be in Charlotte NC. We are going there for 4 days to visit our best friends who moved there recently. I'm so excited cause I'll also get to see my FG & RB. They moved 1 month ago. I miss them so much.

We usually just all go to ym aunts and hang out but this year my mom and aunt are plottong...say they want to do something 'crazy...' Two mid-fity, meopausing women and the word 'crazy' do not comfort me much

So not sure what we are doing. I might try to convince DH to go to the Manor (restrurant part) for dinner-we went once YEARS ago and I never wnated to go again because was so expensive but we went for his B-day with his parents and it was their treat. But they do an all-you can eat thing and that was not bad-still pricey but its like a late lunch which we like. Gives us a chance to dress up-we're usually diner and jeans folks so its nice for a special treat. I really want to amke our first Xmas as a married couple something memorable-silly and girly lol but doable.

Re: New Years plans .............

DH & I are staying in this New Year's; every New Year's I say I'm staying home & I end up going out but this year I'm sticking to my guns. I am a recovering alcoholic and New Year's is way too much about drinking for me. So we decided yesterday that no matter where we're invited to, we're staying home and having a romantic evening :)
