Because I have become an insomniac lately and I was staring at the walls all night last night I was thinking that I want to change my attitude for the new year.
I am the type of person that worries about EVERYTHING!!! Doesn't matter if it is a week away, months, even years I am there worrying about it. I feel like I let the daily things in my life pass me by without enjoying them because I am so worried about well really everything...I envy my husband because although he may worry (and usually it is internally) he seems so calm, relaxed and I want to be that person! I want to enjoy my life today because well really, you just never know what tomorrow can bring and I have to start to realize that, especially with the little one on the way. Granted, it is natural to worry about things, finances, family, etc., but I think I am extreme when it comes to it so I am going to try to take a more relaxed approach to my lifestyle!

Re: New Year's Resolution??
i think i want to quit smoking for real.....i smoke socially or when i am drinking and after a big meal sometimes or if i am upset or worried - around the wedding i was smoking more, almost everyday but not quite.....but i can stop at any time, ive been that way since i started smoking and that was years ago! like when i was 12 (sad but true)....except i never stopped for good - i can stop for months, then smoke for a weekend, then not smoke for a month, then smoke for a week straight, but then not smoke again for 2 months, etc. etc.
i dont know why, but i just always go back, or cave in, and its b/c i enjoy it - but its bad, i need to stop smoking 365 days a year.....even though i don't smoke much its still bad for me and it scares me

I was the same way. I must have a quit several times when I was smoking...once for 5 years but went right back to it after a break up, I wasn't smoking for 7 months before the wedding but 2 weeks before I started again! You can do it, it is hard but if you can!

Re: New Year's Resolution??
My New Year's Resolution is to volunteer more...haven't really done anything like that in years.
In the past I've had superficial resolutions like getting in shape or career-oriented goals, but I'd rather do something more meaningful with the coming year. If I accomplish anything else, then that's just icing on the cake.

Re: New Year's Resolution??
I need to lose 8lbs to be where I was before the honeymoon . THat and I want to be more patient, not fly off the handle so easily, and lose road rage.

Re: New Year's Resolution??
Not so much a resolution as a goal... but I am going to lose weight! I have gained 15 lbs since my wedding and I am NOT having it anymore! I am getting back to my workout routine and eating better.

Re: New Year's Resolution??
get into amazing shape, i want to see those lines on my stomach again lol, i think its been close to 3 years i havent seen them lmao.
Quit smoking
Do more charitable things
And actually spend a little on myself. During the wedding i barely bought myself anything, only if it was something i really needed, mostly work clothes and that sort of stuff and even then didnt get alot, and since the wedding havent really gotten myself much. For 2 years i always talked myself out of buying anything NWR. So this year i will convince myself to buy a little more lol
