Newleyweds - How Accurate were those Farmer's Almanac Predictions?

It says there's going to be t-storms on my wedding day! Were the Farmer's Almanac predictions right for your wedding day?
Thanks!

Horribly inaccurate! And I think for most of the brides that were married in my month (May) it was wrong. Calling for rain on days it was perfectly sunny. My day called for sun an 70...I got a deluge!!!!!!!

Don't listen to the thing, it stinks. And most of all, don't worry about the weather, because in the end, it just does not matter. I promise!!!

I wouldn't listen at all...It happened to be correct for me...but I have heard a lot that were WAY off!!!!

Told me RAIN for my day and it was the hottest sunniest day in all of July. We were squinting all day- do NOT listen to it

mine was right on the money.

mine called for T-storms the whole month of August. We had a nice warm sunny day.

I do have to say though, we've been printing out the almanac here at work, and so far it's been pretty accurate. Maybe it's more accurate during the winter months. It's hard to predict when a T-strom will happen since the atmosphere is so unstable during the summer.

Mine said there was going to be a huge rainstorm that weekend and it actually did happen but don't make yourself crazy over that!

I actually didn't check the almanac...I just figured what's going to happen will happen...and we had 20+ inches of snow!!!!!!!!!!!

ETS: The 20+ inches occurred over the entire weekend...we got married on a Sunday and it started snowing Friday morning and didn't stop until very early Sunday morning.

I researched one site for my day and was given a 6-7% change of precipition.

Then, a few days before the wedding, they were predicting torrential downpours!!!!

LUCKILY, the morning of our wedding is was GORGEOUS, warm and sunny!

Teri, you did have a beautiful weekend, I remember thinking that I wished that was my weekend since I got married the week after!

Since this is the one thing you have absolutely no control over, try not to think about it. Weather can barely be forcasted 3 days in advance, I wouldn't waste time worrying over something this far out.

Teri and I got married on the same day. The book said there was going to be a noreaster that day!!!!! Obviously very wrong.

The farmers alamanac was so wrong on my day. They said it was going to be torrential downpours with hurricane like winds. My day was sunny and bright and warm (and we all know last summer was a bust with all the rain )

Exactly- both Leap and I got married on the same day.

The weather was PERFECTO!!!

TOTALLY INACCURATE!

According to the almanac, the week of my weeding was supposed to be frigid...well, my wedding day was around 53 degrees, at the end of December!

ANYTHING is PoSSIBLE!

I am so glad to read this thread!!! It says showers for my day - which will definitely put a kink in my outdoor ceremony and CH!

Mine predicted that it was going to be a very rainy day and they were right!!

It rained the whole day, stopped for about 5 minutes.

i don't think i even checked the almanac! i do remember checking the weather on-line and it said 30-40% chance of rain. we had the most beautiful day, ever - not a drop in sight. the people who got married the day after us got a rainy, super cold day. i never knew weather could change so much over one day!!!
