Ok girls, how much do you earn from your job? Don't count what you DH makes. Also, do you think you get paid a fair salary for the work you do? If not, are you job hunting or staying where you're at? Does commuting into NYC mean BIG money or BIG headache?

I make more than 60K but the district that I teach in is the second lowest paying in Nassau County. With my years of experience (12) and credits beyond my master (MS + 60) I could be making upwards of 29K more a year at other districts Problem is I'm too expensive for most districts to hire me.
DH works a lot less hours than me, has a shorter commute, brings no work home with him, has to travel occassionally but makes about 40K more than I do with only a BS degree.

Im at like 57 as a teacher with my masters. I love my district. We just got our contract and in 4 years we should be doing o.k.
