Are you going to file as a single? Married? Reason for your choice?
We've been married 7 months, and I am going to file alone one last time. Next year we will do a joint refund.

DH is an accountant (though not a tax acct) so he's going to fill out the form both ways for us and see what works better for us, then we'll file. Yeah it's that easy for him. He's thinking it won't make a huge difference to us this year. Next year of course will be different since we bought a house.

i did our taxes and we're doing married filing joint---for us that was the best way to get the most money.

We are filing jointly. It was a better outcome then separately and we owned a house before we got married so we thought it would be easier just to do it jointly.
