We were married in October and are going on our 'honeymoon' next month. Although it's not the traditional honeymoon, we're calling it one because it is to us even though we'll be married 7 months. NO, I don't regret it. It's given us something to look forward too and we'll be able to call ourselves newlyweds for 8 days without people reminding us that we've been married 6 months already!

Re: Newlyweds who did not go on a HM
we went on a small one to NYC only becasue I had to be back in grad school in 3 days and my DH couldn't take to much time off because it was a new job. We always say we could have fun anywhere and guess what...we did
we are very much into culture, mesuems and all that jazz so NY was a great choice (espically since we just moved back to the tri-state area)
I am also glad becasue.....I would have been so upset if we spent all that money and I was sick (I got so sick the morning after the wedding)
So we are now plannig to go to europe which I am so excited about
So in a nutshell...no regrets at all

Re: Newlyweds who did not go on a HM
I didn't have a 'real' honeymoon but DH and I went away for a long weekend. I have a 7 year old - (6 at the time) and I couldn't leave him for that long! I have no regrets.

Re: Newlyweds who did not go on a HM
We went away the weekend of the wedding to Newport and stayed in a bed and breakfast and then we went on out 'honeymoon' 5 months later. Im really happy it worked out that way. I didn't mind postponing the HM for a while. It was one less thing to stress about..pack for...and pay for before the wedding.
