quick question - did you call the no shows or wait and let them contact you? We only had one no show, and it was my friend. So I am wondering - should I call her?

Re: no shows
I had 2 couples that were no shows but I knew the day before. Both were for medical reasons that couldn't be helped. I called to see how they were, not because they weren't there.

Re: no shows
I didn't have any 'no show' couples. I had one wife not show- her husband told us that she was home sick. We had one guy not bring his guest because they got into a fight the day before , and we had another one no show because she only replied for 1, then called the week before to ask to bring a date, and then just didn't come. She's a twin and actually had her sister sign her name in the guest book and drop her enveloped in the card box.

ah thanks. well the one no show was comming without her husband and she was suppoed to be returning from the Ukraine while he stayed there with the kids. I had invited all of them. She was my old boss. I guess I should call my friend who knows here and ask. Thanks.

Re: no shows
I had one no show couple and I never found out why. I haven't seen her yet (I go to grad school with her), I was a little annoyed about the situation since I never knew what happened but oh well, it's done now. I heard through someone else that her son got sick (and they live in DC with us so had to stay home or something).....

Re: no shows
No, we never called. We had two couples not show up. But one was dh's Aunt and Uncle (they are older) supposedly, they both got sick, but they still didn't call. All right, that one can be forgiven, but they should have called to let us know, rather than my FIL calling them (I wouldn't have felt comfortable calling them) a few days later and asking what happened. Also, dh's friend was a no show. We did see dh's friend and he pretended like nothing happened. So we didn't say anything about it, but we wanted to. It was just an awkward moment and we didn't want to say anything about it.
We had no shows, we havent spoken to them and we dont intend to anymore.

Re: no shows
Well I called, she had to have emergency surgery on her mouth the day of my wedding. She was really embarrased. I am cool with the explanation and happy that she is ok.

We had two couples not show...we've never received any explanation from them and have no intention of calling them.

Re: no shows
I had 11 no shows! 2 people got sick the day of my wedding (but they called and sent a gift) I also had 2 others call 2 days before the wedding saying they couldn't come. The rest never gave any explanations...
