Not going to believe this

Not going to believe this

Remember my *episode* the other night?

Well, my kid woke up around midnight with a fever and he pretty much did what he did last time... 1/2 awake, 1/2 asleep...rambling on in a nightmare...

So obviously, I kept him home today.

WELL... We got home from the gym late last night, and since DH is working later hours this week, he had dibs on the garage spot. Since it is impossible to find parking in this neighborhood, after 8pm, I parked on the avenue... You have to move your car by 8am. We usually leave for the bus @ 7:30am... so no problem, right?

WELL... I didn't send my son to school today, so I called in sick, which means...

I WOKE UP IN A PANIC at 8:01am... ran as FAST as I could to my car.

NO DICE... They got me at exactly 8am.
animals.. I'm sorry- I HATE parking ticket agents..

Anyway, it's only a $60.00 ticket this time so I'm not crying (that much) over it. It just s cuks bc had I only realized 10 minutes before that I was parked there, I would have saved 60 bucks

I kept reminding myself...'It's only 60 dollars... don't cry.. don't cry'
If it was another 115 dollar ticket I would have lost it.

baby is fine... this happened last time. High fever and acid flashbacks at night..

That's the WORST. I'm so sorry. I hate the brownie cops.

I'm in Astoria and they're the same, like vultures I swear. And I get soooo mad at myself when I juuuuuust don't make it and there's that bright orange envelope on my windshield.

If it wasn't for the fact that DH moves the car etc, this would TOTALLY happen to me every single time I parked.

One time I parked by the catholic school and the car had to be moved by 7am. Of course I totally forgot. As I was walking to the subway, the school crossing guard was like, hey I saw a car that looked like yours BEING TOWED a little while ago....

Yep, my car GOT TOWED. So I basically had to take the entire day off work, go down to one of the piers on the west side to wait forever to pay the $200 or so fine, then also pay the TICKET that we got ($110 I believe), then go pick up my car at a totally different location. It was such a pain in the booty. So, I guess I'm just saying - be happy it wasn't towed AND that you got a ticket on top of that! I was super PO'd at myself for the $300+ I had to spend for forgetting to move my car - AND I had to miss work.
