Now I know Why You Should Register for Photo Frames

We are finally getting prints from our wedding album--the 8x10, 5x7, etc. Since we won't have the albums ready for the parents and ourselves by the time of our annivesary, this Sunday, I thought it would be nice to pick up some silver frames and send the framed pictures to our parents and pick up one for ourselves. Wow! I am amazed at the quality and price range in silver frames.

So my question is what photograph frames did you register for if you did and if you didn't where have you been getting your photograph frames from?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Now I know Why You Should Register for Photo Frames

When we got engaged, it seemed like everyone and their mother gave us a crystal Mikasa frame. I think I have the ENTIRE line of crystal Mikasa frames

As for frames that we buy on our own, I got to Target and Fortunoff for frames.

Re: Now I know Why You Should Register for Photo Frames

We only got a handful of frames for our wedding/shower etc. Personally I am okay with that because I like buying frames that match or compliment each other.
I get my frames from a few different places. Kohls has a great selection of frames lots of Silver and gold designs. AC Moore is great for collage or portrait wood frames because they have a really nice selection and they are constantly running sales. For inexpensive wood I look in Walmart (they have a line of $3-5 frames) and Target ( I just bought some really plain wood 5x7 wall frames for $1 each!). And Fortunoffs has a nice line of silver/gold frames!

Re: Now I know Why You Should Register for Photo Frames

I know what you mean--Our portraits are still frameless.

We got our parents 5x7 silver frames in Restoration Hardware. My parents framed the picture of our immediate family I had blown up for them.
(My forgot it was silver though, until it got tarnished! )

I looked in Macy's & Fortunoff & didn't see anything I liked for my own pictures.

Re: Now I know Why You Should Register for Photo Frames

Thanks everyone for your replies! I'm going to check out tomorrow Macy's and Bloomingdale's since they are having massive home sales right now. One of my co-workers suggested checking out Century 21 as well.

Re: Now I know Why You Should Register for Photo Frames

We forgot to also and ended up buying them later. I second Kohls - and they have them on sale a lot. I got some nice smaller ones from AC Moore a few weeks ago, but these are the ones I got from Crate & Barrel for our 8x10s

I like finding funky mismatched ones at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

Re: Now I know Why You Should Register for Photo Frames

I got a bunch of frames before the wedding but alot of them can only be used for vertical pics and alot of my enlargements were horizontal. We spent alot of $$ on frames last week at BBB, they have a nice selection. You can also find nice ones at Fortuneoff, Macys, and Target.
