Now that the wedding is over...what are you doing to 'Keep the love goin?!'

In all seriousness...
What are u guys doing to keep the relationship of a newlywed alive and happy?

With us, we have date night every two weeks. We did it before the wedding and it totally helped us to keep eachother in check...

We basically arent doing anything different. We tried the whole date night but that didnt work out so well. We are super busy but I think I might try the one month doing something special, just for us. DH is the type of guy that just wants to stay at home and chill on a weekend. So I think we are going to do that. Rent a movie, order food and just snuggle up in bed.

We basically arent doing anything different. We tried the whole date night but that didnt work out so well. We are super busy but I think I might try the one month doing something special, just for us. DH is the type of guy that just wants to stay at home and chill on a weekend. So I think we are going to do that. Rent a movie, order food and just snuggle up in bed.

thats my favorite! We used to get cupcakes from our fav cupcake shop and watch a movie. It was so nice and so much better than sitting in atheater at 11.00 a head!

we still like going to the movies but for the ones that are worth it.

we celebrate every week that we're married...every month, etc! I know it sounds ridiculous but its fun!

With DH working in CT 3-4 days a week when he is home we try to spend more time together. So I guess as much as having him away half the week s****, in a strange way it is keeping the magic alive.

we have cuddle night!
lots of times, i fall alseep on the couch or he is watching tv when im already in bed...
so we made cuddle night that way its all about the two of us all night long!

Without the wedding being an expense.....we go out for even more dinners or now FH will cook up something yummy, , we've been to the movies twice this week, we hang out with our friends...its been so much fun!

We have a dry erase board in our kitchen so we leave each other little stupid notes all the time… this morning I left one that said, “Hi Poop Face! I <3 you!”

We try to use coupons from our entertainment book - this way it gets us out of the house once in a while but we keep the spending to a minimum..(OMG I sound like my mom now w/ the coupons thing....ACK!)lol...

We try to go for walks a lot. I'm in the process of applying to PhD programs and we are both working a lot lately. We're generally on the same schedule, but tend to be a couple hours apart. Going for walks means that we only focus on each other and talk about a lot of things with no distractions. Plus the neighborhood we live in is really nice and we talk about the kind of house we're going to buy.

We also try to do date night once or twice a month and when we don't go out we stay home and watch Netflix or Tivo. And we always do it in bed so we can snuggle rather than sit on our super uncomfortable couch apart from each other.
