Ill answer first, Im not really much for PDA nor is DH. Im very shy about kissing especially around my family. Although if Im drunk, it may be a different story. It really bothers me in the street if I see a couple dogging eachother down too. I dont mean hugging and a tap kiss here and there. But people who feel its necessary to put a rated R show on even though there are people and children around. A lot of young kids do this and it grosses me out.

COMPLETELY AGREE!! Holding hands, hugging and a quick peck are completely acceptable. . .and DH and I sneak those in every now and again. But full-on make out and groping sessions in the middle of bars/clubs drive me nuts. There is a time and a place for everything. . .
on the flipside. . .I still get grossed out when my parents hold hands or give one another a peck in public...

I HATE PDA! Maybe when I was a teenager it was 'cool' but as an adult I feel like the world does not need to see how much we love each other. There are people that I see in the street that I just think yuck get a room. The worse is the people on the subway. Holding hands is cool but DH and I do it pretty much for weddings and funerals and events like those. Thank God he is the same way I am when it comes to affection in public.

i haaate seeing people tonguing each other down. DH and I are not that type of people and I really dont see the need for it. Things like that should be done behind closed doors.

Whats even worse is I work in a club and have seen girls straddling guys on the couches. Its the most disgusting thing. A lot of time they just met the guy too. And I know because sometimes Im so bored I just people watch. I just dont get it.

Oh God you are soooo right. During my bartending days I would be utterly grossed out by people. Half the times its the girls that throw themselves on these guys. The best are when the guys are 'regulars' so in 3 weeks you see 3 different episodes with different girls of course.

agreed. I never was one for PDA and past bf have been over the top with it. such a turn off

I have no issues with some of it - kisses, hand holding, butt squeeze - OK.
Full on make-out sessions -
that's pretty much how DH and I are, we're very affectionate - hand holding, pecks, and we're very guilty of the butt squeeze, but anything else is reserved for behind closed doors.

Im like you. I dont even really like to cuddle when were around the families. I get this childish shyness to me where it embarasses me! It kinda annoys him sometimes but I cant help it!

oh yeah even cuddling i hate. I dont know why i get like this too around our families but i get very shy. Dh always likes to trick me into kissing him, he always finds a way. HE used to always ask for a kiss on the cheek and even that I hate in front of our families but he wouldn't shut up and SOMETIMES i would do it and then he'd turn quickly and kiss me on the lips. He thinks its real funny but i hated it lol

Not a fan. This topic use to actually be an 'ISSUE' for us, because i was SO against it, i wouldnt even give him a peck in front of his mother, he would try to hug me in public and i would literally push away, i had to date him for a few months before even holding hands. When i see people all over eachother in public i get GROSSED Out so i dont want to be THAT person. There is just NO NEED.

Theres a line and Im fine unless ppl are crossing into literally getting scandalous. But if its hugging, smooching even if its more than a peck, holding hands, etc. I think its great and totally fine! I love being mushy w. DH and don't mind others doing the same. Now like bordering on grinding on eachother and eating eachothers faces in public..no need.

When I read that article in the paper all I thought was poor people. Now was it a crime because they werent married? Since its based on the country's religion.

I have no problem showing affection but there is no need for anyone to see me tonguing down DH. What actually gets me more uncomfortable is not so much people making out but when they start to get 'handsy' with each other.
