What do you think the best thing about being married is?

For me, its coming home after a hard long day of work to spend time with my best friend. We have such a great time together and every day when Im on my way home I still get excited to see him the same way it was when we were dating ...

The wedding being over.

I know a lot of you say you 'miss your wedding' but I was totally not into the whole planning business.

I was so sick of wedding stuff and I'm so glad that FINALLY the wedding catalogs have stopped coming to my house for the most part -- and I'm finally able to put money in a savings account instead of my 'wedding fund'.

I didn't live with DH before the wedding so it was nice to move in together but for the most part - everything is pretty much the same as it was before.

Living together!

We didn't live together 'til we got married and it's pretty cool...'specially that my cat and his two cats made a smooth transition into co-habitation.

And cooking for two. Having lived alone for 6+ years, it's cool to not have to alter recipes anymore. I used to take recipes that served 4 and cut it down to 2 servings so I wouldn't get bored of my food. Now I just leave it as-is.

Oh and...the abundance of guitars in the place is really swell

DH and I were basically 'married' before (Lived together for 6+ years, joint credit cards and bank accounts etc) so for me, the best part about getting married was sharing the day with our friends and families, and sharing our commitment to one another.

Seriously. We fought SO much more than usual over that stupid wedding. And not even because we disagreed- it was just money.

Thank goodness that's over. Next up, a house!

sharing the same last name. calling each others parents mom and dad.
we lived together in our house for 4+ yrs before we got married. but i still treasure coming home to him everyday and waking up next to him every morning!

oh and my fave part is cooking dinner every day!!!
