Just finished shoveling out my car with DH (actually he shoveled I cleaned off the car)

Which made me think of todays Question of the Day

How do you and DH split up the chores around the house.

DH
Does the laundry
Makes breakfast on days we are off
takes care of outside of the house (shoveling, mowing the lawn)
Takes care of the garbage
vaccuums

Me
all the cleaning dusting washing the floors
cooking the rest of the meals

DH does all of the cooking and the outside work.
I do everything else- except laundry-we send it out once a week.

I WISH that DH would follow my 'rule' of making the bed when you get out of it... instead he leaves it until he gets home from work. thankfully he usually gets home before me so i dont have to see it.

i dont know why... an unmade bed just annoys the shtt out of me.

I do all the laundry
I usually do my dishes as I use them... so if there's a sink of dishes I make him do them.

I do the big grocery shopping... but he goes during the week to get milk and soda etc. or anything else he wants.

I clean the bathroom and the floors. DH usually vacuums.

We rent so our landlord hires a landscaping company to cut the grass in the summer and do the leaves... and they've done all our big snow removal so far. We have a big drive way.

... but we've both done a fair amount of shoveling as well.

I cook. I dust, put away laundry.

He vacuums and cleans dishes, and he does the shovel, while i make sure he has something hot to eat when he comes in. lol.

Probably does 70% of the cooking
Vacuums carpets
Takes out the garbage
Cleans the kitchen
Loads/Unloads the dishwasher


Me:
Sweep/Clean wood floors
Clean bathrooms

Both:
Laundry (he does more than me lol)
Clean bedrooms, living room, dining room

We have landscapers and snow removal so luckily we don't need to do this

Dh does his laundry and i do mine. whoever is doing laundry at the moment does the towels, sheets, etc.

i do 75% of the cooking, he does 25% but we do order out a lot or eat something that we just have to microwave

cleaning- dh 70%/ me 30

shoveling- 99% dh

food shopping- i do all big food shoppings, since he works his second job doing stock at the supermarket, he brings home stuff to fill in like milk, bread, etc. almost every night

bills- 100% me
