This question was prompted by today's ice and the snow storms we have been getting every 4 days...

If you could live any where in the world with your DH, where would it be??

We made a plan to retire to North Carolina. I feel that move coming sooner rather than later.

We always said we were going to live out in Greenport but after this winter I am starting to 2nd think that decision. Now I am thinking Florida!

Right here...I used to want to move away, but I can't imagine living anywhere but NYC. It has anything and everything.

I also don't think I would fare well living amongst non-New Yorkers. They're too slow. With...everything.

We plan on moving to North Carolina as well but if we could live ANYWHERE, I would pick Aruba half the year and North Carolina the other half.

If it was my choice our long term home, raise kids in home would be somewhere just outside of the city. I don't think he can handle living IN NYC. So somewhere like Yonkers/Westchester. If we had $$$$!

Retirement? Def tropical island. :)

Right here on Long Island - everything is here for us. Retirement - I could see us moving down to Florida and being snow birds.

I really love living in NY and can't see myself ever leaving. I would like to have a winter home though on a tropical island

Here-it's important to us to be near our family and friends.

However, when we are older-if we have enough money-I'd love to buy a house in PA to travel to sometimes.

DH wants to win the lotto and move to Hawaii. That's his dream. I don't think I could live that far from home, so I told him I'd probably visit him every other month. He was ok with that.

I don't think I could live anywhere by NY, even with this weather.
