First, I'd like to thank Alicia for making me the NWOTW. Now for the question.

I spent the afternoon w/ the inlaws this weekend as we discussed their friends and their relationships with their significant others and it made me wonder:

If you could only chose one option, would you rather be alone the rest of your life or would you rather be in loveless marriage?

I'd have to say alone...would much rather spend time with people that love me like my friends and family.

Alone, definitely. I actually would be okay alone. I relish it, sometimes.

I would definitely choose to be alone. It must be really difficult being married to and living with someone who you do not love. I would much rather live my life alone.

I'd probably rather be alone. I actually love being alone and doing my own thing.

Alone... I spent too long in a loveless relationship (before DH) and when I came out of that - I promised myself that I'd never do that again.

Alone. 100%. Family and friends mean the world to me and I wouldn't want to waste time or emotion in a loveless marriage.

I was engaged before DH in my early 20s to someone I had been dating for 4 years. Things didn't start off loveless per se but I ended things bc they turned out that way and I refused to be in a loveless marriage. Thank god I did what I did because good things come to those who wait

Same here re: engaged before DH in early 20's. Feel exactly as you do..good things do come, and at the end of the day I'm happy to be where I am now (as it looks like you are also ).

Although I will admit I hated living alone. I slept on the couch every night w/ the lights on and TV on while I slept. Can I be in a loveless marriage but have boy toys on the side? Just sayin' lol

i woould totally rather be alone. I could never be stuck in a loveless marriage and know that we could both be happier elsewhere and be passing life by with the wrong person.
