*~*~NWQOTD*~*~ Monday 7/19

Original post by Lsorrent

Thanks Jillian for making me NWOTW

So DH and I went out with one of my old co-workers on Friday night, and met some new people for the first time. All night, he was cracking jokes and the entire time, I was just sitting there shaking my head. Which leads me to my question:

When you and DH meet new people for the first time, what roles do you play???? Who's more talkative and who's shy?

My DH becomes the instant comic. He starts telling everyone about our first date and makes all his wonderful sarcastic remarks I on the other hand tend to remain more quiet and conservative until he starts getting embarrassing, lol.

We are definitely both outgoing. We end up being that funny couple. We never have problems making friends, Thats for sure.

I am lucky if DH says two words to new people. He is ridiculously shy. However, I can talk so much that it makes up for it

I think it depends on the situation. We can both be fairly shy. I am a little more outgoing but I have to get comfortable. Neither of us are good at approaching strangers. I think one of us has to have common ground to begin with in order to feel comfortable.

DH is definitely more talkative and outgoing. he has one of those personalities that everyone seems to love and is drawn to. I am SO shy. Almost painfully shy. I am one of those people that walks by a group of strangers and if they happen to be laughing I *know* they are laughing at me, so it's super hard for me to be comfortable enough to strike up conversation with strangers.

There was a facebook group that described me perfectly it was titled

'Those who don't know think I'm so quiet- those that do know me want to know when I'm going to shut up'

DH is also very loud and outgoing.
