Yes, me and DH were definitely on a break for awhile... broken up I suppose. His decision. He used to be a bit of a train wreck when we were younger, had no idea what he wanted in life. We got together in 2002, (we were both 22) and in about 2004, when he was in grad school and i was about to start law school, we called it quits for a bit. He had a disasterous fling with someone, I had my own thing, and then a few months later he came a knockin back at my door lol. Not that we ever really stopped talking though. I'd say it was a good thing because we both really realized how much we appreciated and loved each other. Our relationship was still a bit tumultuous when we got back together - i'd say we didn't REALLY get it right until he started the police academy and i graduated law school (both in 2007). And here we are, at age 30, and can't imagine life without him!

Nope we never broke up or really were on a break...the only semi break, but not even a break was before we were officially dating...so i guess that doesnt count lol and it was just cuz he left to work an internship in disney for 5 months...we were dating, but no official, sooo yeah i dont know if that counts...so to simplify my answer...

yes, we broke up for about 1 month or so. It was senior year of college and DH and I had already been together almost 3 years. I guess the fear of graduating soon and just wanting to 'live it up' combined with the fact that we had hit a little rough patch made DH freak out and he broke up with me. I was heartbroken at the time. Thank god for my friends bc they were great and dragged my butt out every night and I started really enjoying being single even though I did miss him. After a month or so, DH came crawling back ....I made him really earn back the 'boyfriend' title and prove he was serious. Overall I think it was a good thing that we took some time apart and figured out that we really wanted to be together.

we have never broken up or been a break. we've been together almost 4 years and we were both at good places in our lives and knew what we wanted.

Not really, about a month into our relationship, Dh sat me down and said he wanted to take a break. I started to cry and as soon as he saw the tears he said he could never bear to see me cry and that was it. So not really. Maybe for like 5 mins?

4 months into our relationship i decided we needed a break.
reason... he was why to hot headed. freakin guy had a temper that i could not deal with. it lasted about a month.

we broke up for 3 months in 2003.... it was a good thing... Shaun has an extremely addictive personality... he lost like 10,000 gambling... which is the reason i broke up with him... we had just moved in together officially... whenever i looked at him i would get disgusted with what he did...
he still gambles every once in a while... but its mostly poker... hes not allowed to bet on sports anymore

No break for us… we had one big fight after about a year of dating and I thought we MIGHT break up, but that only lasted about 4 hours.
In completely unrelated news, LIW has stopped being blocked at work! (for now!)

Nope, we've never been on a break. We met in grad school, and we somehow had a great relationship in one of the most stressful times of our lives, so I think we are good .

Surprisingly, in our 10 1/2 years, no . But I did spend the first four years of our relationship in college in Boston so much of the beginning of our relationship was long-distance.

Yes. We had a little break. We had been together about a year and a half and we both had really sh!tty living arrangements and found ourselves fighting a lot and just all around unhappy and we didn't know why. It was ultimately his decision to take a break. He moved back in with his parents for about 3 weeks but we talked every other day. We didn't break up and we made it clear that we didn't want to see other people. After three weeks we met up and talked it out and found we were both still pretty unhappy and figured it had a lot to do with the living arrangements. We then decided to get an apartment together. We moved in together a month later and it was like night and day. That break was quite possibly the best thing that could've happened to us!

Nope we never took a break. The longest we've been apart is when I went to Italy. We met in July - I had a two week trip planned to Italy (my sister and I took our mom for her 60th bday) for October.
We spoke single day while I was there (that's what happens when your job insists you take a cell phone to Italy)!

Never! I don't really believe in breaks. Break ups I believe in but I never redated anyone I had broken up with or been broken up with.

Well me getting together with him ayt 15 we had a lot of breaks..never fig we would ever get married one day...religion was always a factor on not being together when I was in college and we actually broke up for a good 8 mths in that time I met a new guy and dh found out and realized he couldnt live without me and that one day he would want to marry me...so with the help of his sister he talked to his parents and asked what that felt about me and everything and they said they loved me...so after that we got bak together and about 2 years later we were married

We never had a break, but there was that time when we first got engaged and I got super drunk and we had a fight and I gave him back the ring and told him it was over It was actually a good thing because it taught me that I can't drink (I'm a mean drunk ) But he forgave me after I sobered up the next day and cried and cried and cried
