Yes, me and DH were definitely on a break for awhile... broken up I suppose. His decision. He used to be a bit of a train wreck when we were younger, had no idea what he wanted in life. We got together in 2002, (we were both 22) and in about 2004, when he was in grad school and i was about to start law school, we called it quits for a bit. He had a disasterous fling with someone, I had my own thing, and then a few months later he came a knockin back at my door lol. Not that we ever really stopped talking though. I'd say it was a good thing because we both really realized how much we appreciated and loved each other. Our relationship was still a bit tumultuous when we got back together - i'd say we didn't REALLY get it right until he started the police academy and i graduated law school (both in 2007). And here we are, at age 30, and can't imagine life without him!

NEVER!!!! 10 years no breaks!!! No long distance either!!!
we were friends for a few months first and we would spend hours talking after work in the car.. i think that is really important we built a strong foundation.

no the only time we ever mentioned breaking up was once about 2 years into the relationship. i dont even remember what it was about, but it was stupid. i went out that night and i was so miserable, my friends took me right home to talk to him and make up.

Yes... we've been together almost 10 yrs so this goes back to when we were teenagers... so some stupid decisions on my part.... back then i was still lusting after some guys so i broke up just to persue them... our longest and last breakup was for 2 months back in 2003... i was hanging out with some guy i dated like 3x and i had this revelation come over me... 'why am i with this guy when i love vinny...' couldnt stop thinking about DH and thats when i knew what i had... it actually took time away to figure that out... so yes, im glad that that happened to me bc i knew from that point on how much he really did mean to me... I can remember that day like it was yesterday

We where on a 'break' for three weeks back in Sept. 2000. We had been dating for 6 months & then DH was starting college & working 2 jobs. He was worried that we wouldn't have enough time together to make a relationship work. After crying for 3 weeks straight, DH came back & we have been together ever since.

not really! about 2 months into our relationship he freaked out tho and tried to end it... we were at work e-mailing when it happened. that night he came over and made it all right again. THEN... 10 days later it happened again but worse. we went to a concert and were both drunk at my place at 3am fighting/talking. he wanted to leave but was too drunk too. by the morning he realized what an A$$ he was.... turns out he was just compelely scared and freaked out cause he had never really loved someone before and things moved fast and feelings were strong... after he realized it was a good thing nothing like that ever happened again!

Nope, never. I've always taken breaks in my past relationships and they never helped out in any way and DH isn't fond of breaks either, so before we got together, we agreed that if we were gonna break up, we weren't getting back together. I think it totally helped because it made us really work things out instead of just breaking up and getting back together every time we got into a fight, which is what I was so used to doing.

We got engaged after dating for 10.5 months so there wasn't really time for a 'break'

We were on a 'break' for literally three days after a year of dating! I told him i needed to take a break because he was kind of selfish. He is an only child & would forget to communicate with me. He was used to being about him what he wanted to do. After three days he came over & said he didnt want to be on a break. And we had a long talk. We are now together 7 yrs strong.

We did for 6 months, I did it.... wont get into details but we got back together and marriage was all we could talk about.

On September 7th we will be together 9 years. We started dating when I was 16 and he was 18, never once took a break even for an hour and definitely never broke up. We've also lived together since I was 18.

never broke up... no breaks either.
during our rough patch... it came close and it would have been me ending it. But it didn't come to that. So nope... never a break up or a break for us. We have been together for 7 years.
