NWQOTD-Tuesday

So Im thinking babies today....haha...

My question is for any of you girls that want, have, or are expecting a wee one....did you want to have a boy or girl and why?

I know alot of women want one or the other first for certain reasons, although they are happy with either. We all just want happy and healthy babies...but before we find out the gender of our babies we all have the 'want' in the back of our minds.

I wanted a boy SO bad with my first one...I have an older brother who I get along with so well. I always imagined having a boy first...then a girl so she could be protected as she grew by her big brother like I did. DH wanted a girl...I think mostly because he has 10 nephews and only one neice so a girl would be a nice addition to the family. We ended up having a boy who is now turning 5 this weekend...I cant believe it.

I am hoping for a girl this time...

my ideal situation would be boy/girl twins. but i know thats highly unlikely.

for some strange reason i really feel like when i do have a baby it will be a boy...just because i honestly feel clueless about boys (never had a brother and went to an all-girls school as a kid)

when i eventually have kids i would love to have one of each.

we want two total....so if i dont have one of each I would prefer to have 2 girls than 2 boys only bc I think I would relate better to girls, but honestly it wouldnt matter. I'd be happy no matter what.

I want boys. My parents 'wish' 3 boys on me like it's a punishment, but I'd be thrilled with that. Even though I don't have a brother, or even guy friends, I feel like I'd be able to handle boys much better than girls...little girls can be brats, and little boys are pretty low maintenance, just give them a toy car and they'll play for hours, whereas little girls are demanding and needy. Not that I'm equating my children to pets haha...but it's almost like little girls are puppies, and little boys are kittens,and lets face it, I'm a cat person.

If not 3 boys, then 2 boys and a girl. If we even have 3 kids...we'd like to wait a few years still, so we won't be getting any younger, and I don't want to have kids too late, so maybe we'll only have 2. If I have only girls, I wouldn't be unhappy, I really just want healthy kids, but if I had to state a preference, it would be for boys.

Im most likely only having one baby so we are really hoping for a little . DH already has a boy so a baby girl would be awesome!

Not necessarily!! My stepson is 10 years old and Ive known him since he's 4. He's the neediest, whiniest, demanding child Ive ever met in my life!! He constantly needs to be entertained and if he doesn't have 100% percent attention he acts like the biggest brat! I dont think it matters if its a boy or girl, its all about how they are raised

Very true! I'm a girl last time I checked lol, and my mom was very strict with me growing up, and I think I was held very much in line. I'll definitely employ that with my kids, whether it be a boy or a girl. I saw a lot of little monsters of both genders when I waitressed in the Italian place in town when I was in college, and it was a horribly snobby, self-entitled town to begin with, and these children were like spawns of *****! And it was all their equally self-entitled parents fault! Over my dead body will I let my kids act like that.

we both are dying for a girl. my side always has girls and we all are such a close nit group of not only family but friends as well. and as someone said I feel we both would relate better to a girl. and DH has a daughter already so that would be so wonderful for our baby to have a big sister

Honestly i could care less either way...

i use to say that i wanted all boys, cuz i dont know if i can handle a little girl if she was anything like i was as a kid! LOL!!!

but now i kinda think a girl would be cool...my main reasoning tho is that so far in mine and DH's family, there are no girls! my brother has a boy, and boy #2 is on his way, and my BIL has a boy! soo if we are the next to have a baby and its a girl it would be the first one for both families!! kinda cool, but honestly i just want a baby! so i would take either or in a heartbeat!

I always pictured myself with a but the more I've thought about it lately, the more I'm hoping for two .... for no tangible reason AT ALL!

just happy and healthy..we dont mind either!!!
