Re: NWQOTD Tuesday, October 26th
I haven't had any serious appointments really...usually I ask my Mommy but now that DH is around I would definitely want him there...my Mom is soooo squeamish, she is NO help when all the scary things come!! I took her with me when I had to get bloods drawn and instead of sticking by me and holding my hand she ran out of the room!!!

The only time so far the DH has gone to a doctors appointment with me is when I have to see my eyedoctor. I have major eye issues so I always get my eyes dilated so I can't go by myself.Other then that I prefer to go by myself.

For a regular check up I would never ask DH to go. I was in the hospital once and DH stayed with me the whole time for that.

Ive only had to bring DH with me one time (thank goodness) which was for the D&C. I was sooooo happy he was there. He was so comforting at the very worst i probably ever was. It was a real bad time for both of us. But thankfully we had each other to lean on.

Re: NWQOTD Tuesday, October 26th
when i went for my consult with the surgeon before i had my thyroid surgery, DH came with me. he also took me to have my operation and waited while it was going on.if i have a cold, no, i don't need/want him with me. i've learned after going through the non-routine stuff that i should 'save' my requests for the important times!

Re: NWQOTD Tuesday, October 26th
I wanted to add that I did at the last minute call DH to meet me at the doctors office. He took the long way to get there and they called me in for my test. I asked if I could wait and when I got back to the waiting room he was there. I couldn't even see him during the test, but it was very reassuring to have him there. I guess it worked out perfectly since I can't stand his waiting room etiquette or lack there of.

As much as I would love DH to go with me to appointments. My mom is usually the one I bring with me to the oncologist and stuff because she helps me to remember questions that need to be asked.Welcome New Vendors
